A neighborhood where the yard is the hard part
Micco and Barefoot Bay are not a typical Florida suburb. The Census Bureau puts 61.4% of Micco at 65 or older — against 36.8% in Sebastian, which is already one of the older towns on this coast. Almost everybody owns their place, and most households are one or two people.
61.4% are 65+
Nearly two in three residents. In Sebastian it is 36.8%. Pushing a mower in August stops being realistic long before most people want to admit it.
91.9% own their home
The yard is yours to keep up, and there is no landlord sending somebody. In a deed-restricted community, grass getting away from you is not only your own business either.
1.73 people per household
Mostly one or two people per home, and under 5% of the population is school age. There is no teenager down the hall to hand the mower to. That is the job we do.
Figures for Micco CDP and Sebastian from U.S. Census Bureau QuickFacts, accessed September 2026 — 2020 Census counts with American Community Survey 2020–2024 estimates for age, ownership and household size. Barefoot Bay is not itself a QuickFacts geography, so the demographic figures above are for Micco CDP, the census place covering this area.

Barefoot Bay & Micco questions
Do you actually come out to Barefoot Bay and Micco?
Yes. We are based in Sebastian, which shares a ZIP code with Micco, so this is part of the normal run rather than a special trip. No travel charge.
What does it cost?
Routine yard maintenance starts at $60 a month, biweekly is $100 and weekly is $200. One-time work starts at $25 for string trimming or a palm, and $50 for a yard cleanup. You get the price before anything starts — every price is published on the services page.
Barefoot Bay is deed restricted. Is that a problem?
No. If there are rules about when yard work can happen or where debris is supposed to go, tell us when you call and we will work to them.
Do I need to be home?
No. Plenty of customers are away, or are only here part of the year. As long as we can get to the yard we can do the work, and we will send photos when it is finished.
Which days do you work?
Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday, 8am to 1pm. Messages outside those hours still get answered.
Do you take one-time jobs, or only monthly?
Both. One-time cleanups, palm trimming and debris removal are priced per job. Monthly maintenance is there if you would rather stop thinking about it.
